Rosalie entered the cafeteria with a quiet sigh. She had experienced the "high-school experience" multiple times before, and learned nothing new. She was always one to think negatively of repeating high school. She already had many diplomas and a few college degrees. She walked to the line and waited for her "food" when it actually went to waste after acting like a prop. Her family couldn't digest human food, being vampires, so they basically just pretended to eat it and played with it. She noticed that the regular Cullen table where humans knew to leave it be. The Cullens had been at Forks High for a while, and they always sat at the same table alone with just the family. Humans were intimidated, so they always chose to leave them alone.
As Rosalie left the line to go sit down at the regular 'Cullen Table', she noticed she was the only one there so far. She slid into one of the seats there at the table. She fiddled with an apple, the fruit she was forced to put on their trays, while she waited for one of her siblings to enter.

Edward was being held up in his math class because someone had asked a simple question and the teacher felt it necessary to explain the entire question out before the class could leave. He spent that time doodling on his note pad. He was packed as soon as he heard the thought that he could leave he was packed and then out the door when they were dismissed. His mood lightened when he saw that he wouldn’t have to wait in line too long for the food he wouldn’t be eating. After purchasing a slice of pizza, cola and an orange Edward headed to the table that was only occupied by Rosalie at the moment.
Setting his tray down he did his best to flop into his seat, carefully as not to break it, like the rest of the humans. “Hey Rose” He greeted glancing down at his food before looking around the cafeteria at everyone, before looking back to his sister. It was an easy way to see whose thoughts would be coming from inside the lunch room.

Rosalie twisted the stem of the apple until it popped off. To mere humans, it would seem as if she was playing "The Apple Game", a game in which people played to see whom they would wed, when she was actually just twisting it out of boredom. I mean, it wasn't like she was going to eat the apple. She noticed a familiar scent that she recognized to be Edward's. She raised an eyebrow. His class should have let out a few minutes ago? She knew that the chances of Edward getting in trouble were very slim, so that thought left almost as quickly as it came, though she did know that he probably heard it.
"Hello Edward." Rosalie greeted back. She noticed a group of girls staring at her. Probably in awe she thought, forgetting that Edward could hear her thoughts. Then she heard in a faint whisper that they were talking about how the Cullen's never ate. They were looking over at Edward and Rosalie, so it was evident that they were talking about them. She rolled her eyes, then lifted her apple to her mouth as if she were to take a bite, which she didn't. She smirked satisfied when the group turned away, seeming as if they were 'happy' that they saw her "eat".

He could hear the small murmurs when he entered the lunch room, it was the same when any of the family members entered a place like this. It was to be expected but Edward became annoyed with it quite easily. He could see Rosalie already bored with the façade of lunch, twisting the apple stem over and over. It was a way to pass the time so that they wouldn’t have to actually eat something. It happened once in a while, but it was terrible trying to get the food back up. He hated that part. Sitting down he let out a sigh, “Class ran late” Edward said simply.
A small smile appeared on his lips, “Enjoying your classes?” Edward asked her figuring the answer would be no. Of course he could have been wrong and Rosalie was having a good day in school, it was funny. She shook his head slightly at Rosalie’s thoughts, Edward personally hated it when those girls would shift their attention to Edward which wasn’t a far cry… he was the only single male in the group it was bound to happen. As Rosalie picked up her apple, he started to peal the orange. “Least we didn’t have to actually eat it” He said with faking a cold chill.

Rosalie nodded in perfect understandment. She knew what it was like having one student keep the entire class past the dismissal bell. Whether it was for acting up, confused on one subject, or curious on some topic that was probably random or nonrelated to the class it was still insanely annoying. Especially when they were confused on a subject that Rosalie knew insanely well (which was a lot of subjects; the majority of all of them she knew)
He caught her attention when he asked about her classes. "Yeah. I absolutely love relearning lessons I've already known." She replied with heavy sarcasm. She rolled her eyes, not particularly at Edward but at repeating subjects she's known for a while. It was beyond annoying in Rosalie's opinion. She was happy that she didn't have to stay at the schools as long as Edward and Alice did. She grabbed her plastic fork as she looked down at her salad. She put the fork in it and mixed it around.

Edward got tired of repeating high school, but everyone did. What he hadn’t learned the first time around he had read on his own in the many nights he had nothing better to do. Edward despised those that felt the need ask a question at the end of class, why not do it in the beginning when it made more sense or the middle. No the humans decided to make things difficult.
His smile grew a bit when he heard Rosalie’s sarcastic answer to his question, “I had a feeling you’d say that” He said picking apart the fully pealed orange and placing it on his tray. That was as close to eating as he hoped he’d get. Edward envied her, Em, and Jazz, they got to move on from high school more then what Alice and him did, it could be quite annoying. Though he was happy he’d entered college and university a few times.

Rosalie never liked the humans. She always thought that they had it better. Even though vampires got to live for eternity (alledgedly) humans had it better. They could have children! Children, in Rosalie's eyes, were the best thing a person could have. She had always wanted one. When she found out she couldn't reproduce, she was furious. If given the chance to give up immortality to have children, Rosalie wasn't sure. She always thought she would say no and keep her immortality, because if she could have children, she wanted them with Emmett. Everyone in the family knew that she had wanted children badly, so they knew how bitter she was at the subject.
She chuckled when he said he had a feeling she would say that. "You are the mind-reader.” she joked. She noticed the pealed orange and grimaced. It was utterly repulsive to her.

Edward’s real only problem with the humans was pretty much his behaviour patterns. Other then that he didn’t really have a problem with them as long as he didn’t have to come into too much contact with them. He knew he didn’t envy them like Rosalie did. There wasn’t anything that they had that Edward didn’t, well except for the fact that they could age, but that didn’t really bother him. Edward knew that if it were possible he wouldn’t give up this life for a human one, couldn’t think of anything that would warrant giving up anything he had. Well not right now.
Edward looked over at her and grinned slightly, “This is true.” He said with a slight laugh. After Edward had the orange pealed he separated each piece and let them sit on his tray. He could feel the citrus left on his fingers and made a bit of a face before looking up at Rosalie, “I don’t know how they eat this…” he trailed off a bit.

Rosalie also didn't like the humans when they were 'gossiping' about the Cullens. Particularly Jessica Stanley telling random people the strangest of lies and rumors. Though sometimes Jessica had been accurate with her gossip. She knew all of her siblings were aware of it, and they often joked about some of what they hear. She pitied those like Jessica for a different reason. They might have been what some boys in the school would call "pretty", but none of them even matched up to Rosalie's impeccable beauty and looks. One of her favorite 'gossiping sessions' between that group was when the Cullen family had just enrolled into Forks High School. They were talking about how gorgeous the family was, which Rosalie was very happy about.
Rosalie chuckled when Edward pointed out the truth. She could smell the odious smell of citrus on Edward's fingertips with her enhanced sense of smell and made a face. "Ew, here." She said and offered him her napkin the students were forced to take. The smell was repulsive. "I'm not so sure either, but at times like this I'm thrilled I don't have to eat these...substances."

Edward was on the same page as the rest of the family when it came to the gossiping of Jessica Stanley. Of course he had other reasons for not liking her, or rather her thoughts. Edward couldn’t recall ever saying anything to her since they moved here, but yet he’d managed to get on her thoughts quite a lot; annoying actually in his opinion. The little fantasies that could never happen because of his being a vampire. The gossip was fine to listen to for the first little while, it died down eventually, well for most of family members. Once they realized that nearly all the siblings were taken and not up for the taking. But Edward not having that luxury stayed on the mind of the female population, it was enough to drive him up the wall at times.
Edward smiled when Rosalie laughed at his words. Though when he got a whiff of the citrus on his finger tips his nose curled up, the hatred for the smell obvious on his face. It was quite similar to the look Rosalie held on her face once she got the smell. “Thanks” Edward said reaching out for the napkin and wiping off his fingers as best he could, though doubted the smell would go away completely. “I know what you mean, I hate when it becomes necessary to make them believe.” Edward said tossing the napkin onto his tray.

Rosalie knew it annoyed Edward when he had to deal with the love-sick teenagers and their odd fantasies about them being with him. All of the Cullen's probably were involved with human's fantasies but Edward had to be in them and see them. It was times like that in which Rosalie was glad she wasn't able to read minds. She knew that the female student body favored Edward over the other male Cullens, so the majority of them were daydreaming about him.
Rosalie hesitantly grabbed the napkin from his tray with her fingertips. Her facial expression was still the same disgusted grimace. She flicked to the other side of the table with a flap of her wrist. “Yeah” Rosalie replied, still grossed out from the citrus. She looked down at her apple and picked it up. She twirled it around in her hand. "Tell me about it." She replied.

Edward found it easier to tune out the thoughts that involved his siblings in the minds of students around him. It was when he was involved that it was incredible hard to ignore, the gossip wasn’t so bad or the random comments but the fantasies were more then annoying. It made him want to walk over to one of them and explain what would have if he were to get that close to them, if his teeth got that close to their poorly protected blood. But Edward shook those thoughts from his mind, he didn’t need to dwell on the sweet flavour of human blood, he didn’t need to be thinking about that.
Edward watched his sister grab for the napkin and couldn’t help but laugh at the way she daintily handled it, like it was the plaque or had some sort of disease upon it. The look on her face added to the situation. He rubbed his fingers together slightly, they were still a little sticky which would be annoying and he didn’t fancy using the sinks in the bathrooms. “Come across anything interesting lately?” Edward asked her glancing around the room for a moment before letting his eyes drift back to Rosalie.

Edward had once told Rosalie at a school they attended a long while back that a lot of perverted human boys where fantasizing about her with them. She was slightly flattered, yet disgusted. She was flattered because that meant that they liked her, or had an obsession with her. But she was disgusted because they were labeled as the type of guys who wouldn't be able to have any type of girlfriend. Plus, they were human, which was a big NO in Rosalie's eyes. It was pretty amusing for a while, until it got to the 'stalker' point where they would follow her to class, and never take their eyes off of her. It lasted for a long time, until Rosalie warned them about Emmett, her "overly-protective boyfriend". Emmett looked like he would kill the boys in a millisecond, which he could, but by physical appearance, so that threat shut them up for a while. Ever since then, Rosalie was always positive she was in at least one person's, in whatever school they attended, fantasies.
Rosalie caught Edward's laugh and glared, "Shut up. It's repulsive and I don't want to deal with it being that close." She folded her arms across her chest after the napkin landed on floor next to the "forbidden" Cullen Table. She set her apple-substance on her tray again and grabbed for her fork. She twirled it between her pale, stony fingers and groaned internally. She looked up when Edward addressed her again. She dropped her shoulders at the question. “It's Forks. Not much around here. Though, I did overhear a few things. One about you, and one about a new girl.” She figured he may be wary about the subject that he was involved in, she wasn't sure about the new girl though.

Edward had told Rosalie once that she’d been the subject of many fantasies in a particular school, that was the last time he’d done that. Having to deal with her thoughts which became more self absorbed, annoyed him incredibly. Of course he wasn’t too fond of having to witness the fantasies that involved his sister or the fact that the guys were thinking about her like that. but there was a reason my he’d told her and not Emmett, he wasn’t going to have him snap the boys in two. Though it may appear that he didn’t get along with Rosalie, he was still naturally protective so it hadn’t been rare that he gave a few of those boys a harsh glare here or there. If he had to pick, he’d rather not having to see his siblings in that light, it wasn’t necessary.
He placed an innocent look on his face quite easily and looked up at her, “What? I never said a word.” he said before grinning slightly, “It bothered you that much?” he said giving an eye roll while shaking his head, not that he wanted to have to smell that for the duration of lunch. “Fair enough” Edward said when she mentioned that it was Forks and uneventful. When she mentioned him he raised an eyebrow. He’d missed that, rare but it happened, though he had spent the last couple of days figuring out how not to kill Bella Swan every time they were in biology. “I missed that, what are they saying about me now?” he questioned her though adverted his eyes when she spoke of the new girl while he recalled her scent all the while trying to push it away wanting to keep the gold hue to his eyes, “Didn’t take them long to start on the new girl, Bella Swan, my new biology partner.” he said keeping emotion of any sort out of that. That was all he needed, Rosalie to find out a human interested him.

Rosalie couldn't help her 'conceited' thoughts when Edward told her that she was in fantasies. It's simply just something that boosts your self-esteem, no matter how high it already is. She figured it bothered Edward, part of her hoped -because it was appearantly very common and her thoughts would be strongly more selfish-, that she was 'the star' of perverted human boys' fantasies. She figured out that he hadn't told Emmett about her being in the fantasies and was thankful. She knew that it would not end well. Emmett would probably end up killing the boys, and the 'murders' would be bad credit for the clean Cullen image, so Carlisle and Esme wouldn't be particularly happy about that. Plus, the punishments could upset Rosalie as well (like as if it was 'no intimate moments for a month') Sometimes Rosalie caught Edward glaring at the boys, she was oblivious as to why, she figured it was just their thoughts bothered him. But that only happened if she was lucky.
"You didn't have to say anything; it was implied.” She retorted. She raised an eyebrow. “Oh, so my mistake. It didn't bother you?” She smirked, feeling like she won that miniuature arguement [whether or not Forks was 'eventful']. She, too, was shocked by his facial expression. Surely he had heard about it by now. she thought. "You haven't heard about it?" Rosalie asked, raising an eyebrow as well. She noticed when he averted his eyes, but said nothing of it. She figured it wasn't that important, though she was still a little curious. “Ooh. Fun.” she replied, sarcasm evidently dripping from her tone of voice.
